This digital painting, made with an Intuos4 Wacom tablet, is inspired by a photograph of a friend, in a moonlit waterfall lagoon, on a dramatic alien world. After leaping between stars for a countless time in space, walking the line between zodiacs, she finds herself some time to freshen up with her canine companion under the alien moonlight. This waterfall lagoon is largely inspired by the many cascades and rivers in the Blue Ridge mountains, where I sat at a desktop computer in my studio for some 36 hours and made this.
